I will be placing my order on August 29 in order for items to arrive for the first week of classes. If you have not yet placed your order I will be ordering extra stock which can be purchased on a first come, first served basis.

If you have ordered any items in the last week or two they should be arriving early next week.

At this time the boutique is unfortunately out of all children's leather ballet slippers, bodysuits and tights. (Wow did we have a lot of dancers register this year!)

I have ordered a full stock of shoes, bodysuits and tights as well so if you require dance wear please follow the following steps and items should be available by Oct 1st.

1) Fill out an order form with child's first and last name, class day/time and parent’s name and ph. number.
2) Make a foot tracing if your child requires shoes
3) Attach cash or cheque payable to Amanda Dark (no need to add tax)
4) Place these items in an envelope and drop it in the Miss Amanda's Dance Boutique mailbox on the wall outside the pink studio

Please note that I am not able to fit clothes/shoes during class times. If you would prefer a fitting, you may come between 12-1 on Saturdays, please call ahead.

Dance Wear Orders

Teachers will be handing out orders to dancers at their first class. If any items are missing or incorrect please leave a note in the Dance Boutique mailbox located beside the door of the pink studio. Please do not ask the teacher as they are only responsible for handing out the items. You may also call me at 293-4208 or email amanda.dark@yahoo.ca.

If you still require new dancewear for the season, I will be ordering again at the end of September. Please contact me or leave an order form, with cheque and a foot tracing (for shoes) in the Dance Boutique mailbox and I will call you to confirm your order.

After September I will not be making another order until early February. I will have a limited number of shoes on hand throughout the year and a FULL stock of tights and exam bodysuits.

How to Order Dancewear

Come into the SBDC Steinbach studio to have your child fit for the required dancewear for the upcoming season. Parents may order all the required dress code items at this time. Items will then be delivered to students at their first dance class. All items must be prepaid by cash or cheque (payable to Amanda Dark). Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards for dancewear.
Throughout the year we will have exam bodysuits, ballet pink and tan tights fully in stock. There will also be a limited number of dance shoes on hand in case your child grows out of their shoes once classes have begun.

To order new dancewear throughout the year please contact Miss Amanda by phone or email. Order forms will also be available at the studio and these may be left, with payment, in the “Miss Amanda’s Dance Boutique” mailbox. Once I have received the order I will get the item(s) to you ASAP, often by your child’s next class. If you require a new pair of shoes, please leave a foot tracing with your order form.

SBDC Dress Code

Movers & Shakers: Comfortable clothing, bare feet or ballet slippers

Song & Dance: Any colour bodysuit and tights, pink ballet slippers

Mini-Steps and Pre Primary: Any colour bodysuit and tights, pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes

Primary, Combo 1, Combo 2 and Combo 3: Black bodysuit, ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers and black “beginner” tap shoes. Skirts are not permitted for ballet class. Dance shorts may be worn for tap, jazz and musical theatre, but are not required.

Standard 1 – Grade 3 Ballet: Black tank style bodysuit, ballet pink tights and pink split sole ballet slippers.

Grade 3-4 Ballet and up; Burgundy cap sleeved bodysuit, ballet pink tights and pink split sole ballet slippers.

Junior 1 Jazz and up: Bodysuit and tights. Dance shorts may be worn but are not required. Black jazz shoes.

Junior 1 Tap and up: Dress as for jazz classes. Black tap shoes required, good quality lace-ups are strongly recommended.
